About

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Taylor! I’ve worked in business intelligence since 2014 and began using machine learning in 2015. My other interests include programming, data engineering, Linux, cloud, and many others.

Why create this site?

I genuinely enjoy reading about and experimenting with different technologies, programming languages, and data science techniques. Until creating this site, there wasn’t a good place for me to document everything I had researched/learned. Often times, I would find myself coming back to learn the same thing two or three times because I had no documentation.

There are three main purposes to this site:

  1. To serve as personal documentation of new technologies I’m experimenting with
  2. To serve as a reference to others wanting to learn the same concepts
  3. To eventually look back and be embarrassed of old posts because my writing and tech skills have improved

Types of content

There will be three main types of content on this site (for now).

  1. Post: Is associated with a specific date/time and no changes will be made to this content without mentioning it inside of the post itself (edits)
  2. Cheat-sheets: These are “living” documents with notes, references, and how-to’s that will change over time
  3. Page: Anything that doesn’t fall into the first two categories (such as this “About” page you’re reading right now)
